I have a number of spots where there is dried car wax that was not removed from the small creases/cracks/joints of the body. Is there something I can use to remove it without ruining the paint?

Get the dried wax wet. Let it soften. While that's going on. GO to the dollar store and buy a couple of cheap tooth brushes.
Gently brush away the wax with the brush.
You can also trim down a popcycle stick with a razor knife and use that for stubborn wax.

I did just this many years ago detailing anything from Cadillac's to Ferrari's.

Good Luck.

Yep - anytime I go to the dentist, I get their "care package" that usually comes with a soft tootbrush. Have a stash for parts cleaning and detailing...

I certainly over thought that. Well that's easy enough. Thank you
It'll take a while to get it all, but atleast it'll be gone.

Thanks

Arm yourself with a variety of brushes. I like to trim down a 2" wide cheap black bristle paint brush- it makes much quicker work of removing wax than a toothbrush from long seams, window rubber, etc..

For cheap toothbrushes, look for a 2-pack or larger of kid's toothbrushes, they are super cheap - we buy them to use on our dogs.

Avoid any of the ones with Disney characters or other things on them - they are overpriced because of licensing

Plastic razor blades also work well.

I buy a new toothbrush for my mouth and use the old ones for the garage and shop. I think toothbrushes only last about 3 months before they don't clean as well anyhow.

Why is it called a toothbrush? What if you have several teeth? Would you call it a teethbrush? If you have none I guess you’re SOL Very Happy while we’re on the subject of hygiene soap and water cleans cracks real well and loofah those hard to reach areas ok?

Until a loofah proves itself effective at removing wax in the garage one has no purpose in my shower. Cool

Check out autogeek.net supplies that won't mar your paint-e.g. horsehair brushes etc.

You can use a q-tip too just make sure you use some detail spray on it first.
