Well, my throttle cable broke this morning on my way back home to meet my mother for Mothers day. Bad timing.

Replacement went through the hard-tubing just fine. Had to disconnect the rubber tubing from the hard tubing at the end towards the rear to get it through since it felt like it was catching between the two pieces. When it did finally come through, this four inch piece came out:

It looked like a piece of sheathing for the cable, but there is no way that the end of the replacement accelerator able would fit through this -- so what exactly it? Was this just sheathing around the original cable that isnt on the replacements?

Some cables have that on them for the part number, it usually rides around on the exposed section up front.

Ok, makes sense. For whatever reason it was in the flexible tubing behind the firewall.

Thanks!
