PO looks like he used contact cement on the door seals when they were installed. They came off easy-ish enough when I wanted to respray the doors (and fix the rusty bits on the bottoms.)
Now that I'm ready to reinstall, i cleaned up the old seals with some fine sandpaper and some thinner, and would like to glue them back.
Quick question: Contact cement again? OR RTV Glue? I plan on silicone spraying them once i install them so not to mess up mating surfaces.
Thanks! _________________ "Think about this; think about how stupid the average person is, and then realize that half of 'em are stupider than that." - George Carlin

3M Weatherstrip adhesive-it comes in black or yellow and you can find it online or at your local parts store.
Here is how to properly apply it:

Hey, this is fantastic! Great tip with the YouTube video, which in case the link gets broken describes applying a thin bead to both mating surfaces, then using a popsicle stick to smear the surfaces. Less is more. When they start getting tacky (a minute or two) apply another thin bead to the rubber side, smearing it again, then immediately adhere the rubber to the substrate (door, in my case.) Like contact cement. I didn't see this at my Napa, so I'll order it from Amazon.
Appreciate the fast response! _________________ "Think about this; think about how stupid the average person is, and then realize that half of 'em are stupider than that." - George Carlin
