Yes, I wanted to paint behind it so I made sure that it would. The previous owner had a bay window heater tube so it had to come out anyway.

While the bus is in paint I started the motor rebuild. This is the same 1600 DP that came with the bus. It is in great condition and will do until a motor with proper power is built.

Thats a great color and what an amazing find. Im happy when I find one with moderate frame and roof rot here in the Northeast. LOL. Not only does this bus make me jealous, but that paint booth and super clean shop is legit too! Keep those pics coming!

Velvet is my favorite.....I would have gone back to the original color no matter what but I'm glad it was green!

Wow wow wow on that paint job. Looks like it was dunked in a tank of velvet!!
Side note- did they end up just filling the lap joint on your nose panel? I think you mentioned it had an older nose replacement on it. |

We went ahead and welded the seam solid. Whoever put the nose on did a great job, but left gaps between the spot welds.

Turns out the bus needed a little more time in paint so I am getting the motor all buttoned up.
Got the seats, emblem and motor stuff back from powder coat.
