Last week heading to Cape Cod for a fellow Bus Brothers wedding, the Single WAS running great, stopped for gas, it died just after getting back on the highway. I decided to get ot towed home, even with tools & fuel pump in hand. Had a Great wedding weekend, monday I tried the other fuel pump, no go..... I swapped out the pump rod, BINGO, it is running better than before !!!
Congrats to Dan. D. & Emily!!!

I replaced the battery and took the misses to a wakeboarding competition.

Well, my bus has been sitting in the garage for 12 years and I decided to pull it out this weekend. My kids are grown enough and excited enough about it to want to help me fix it up. This was a runner 15 years ago, and just needs some TLC to get going again. Brakes, fuel system, upholstery, tires, battery...

Heh, then I spent the afternoon reading threads on what size of tire to get.

I drove mine to work for the first time in at least 6 months. I think I've finally got everything worked out with the IRS swap.

Found this insane original taillight bucket recently:

I found another one that was pretty nice out of my stash and upgraded my taillights and added ground wires.

Night time test, they are bright now, this is still 6-volt:

A couple years ago I scratched my left side lens when I removed the rear bumper and it hit the lens. Upgraded that lens with a nicer "61" logo one too.

The "61" lenses were used 62-64 I think? It's more common to see the "66" lenses.

My dad had a '63 Panel that was still 6 volt and you had to have his and my Bus (12 volt) beside one another to tell the difference in the head and tail lights.
Of course, I think I push started his Bus more times than all the times I've pushed started all of my Buses. Laughing

That lettering looks like it will be fun to recover.

Just getting my new Harbor Freight 4 Drawer cart setup for becoming my Cleaning Cart. Will have my new Bike Master Parts Washer on top along with compressor below for airing up tires, and basic cleaning tools and supplies for keeping our VWs clean. Been cleaning lots of parts lately so decided to get a nice parts washer so this was my multi-solution in 1 cart.

All assembled and ready to rock!

Had taken part in a marketing focus group and received what I am calling; "mad money".

So I bought the Bus Depot Ezy Awning Plus that I have been considering for awhile.

http://www.busdepot.com/ezyplus

I doubt it will reach me before the "Camp-n-Shine" show in Lakeport, CA...
(Father's Day Weekend, Saturday June 16th. Camping on Friday & Saturday)

...but I'm hoping it does, and that "The Toaster" likes it.

Three (or maybe 4 with the larger one) clamps that grab the pole in the gutter. Piece of rubber on both sides of the clamp.

...here's a youtube of the set-up on a Vanagon...

The awning arrived in time!

Ordered it last Friday, FedEx originally predicted tomorrow (Friday), but here it is mid-day on Thursday. Less than a week from across the country.

FedEx's weight on it says 17 pounds.

I put the scissors and the instructions in the picture to give an idea of size.
The is the "large" version, but I imagine the pole bag (left with the scissors on it) would be the same size for all versions.

If I can set it up for the Camp & Shine show Saturday morning (Lakeport, CA), I will, otherwise afterwards back at the campsite where I'll be making fondue for everyone who drops over.
This VW camping/show/meet is great for pot-luck camping in the evening).
