looking for info on this 13in wood steering wheel. VW logo and says Britain on front.

I think it's a Mountney wheel with a VW hub attached.
Here's the only gallery shot of one- but it shows what your horn button used to look like

interesting. but my horn button is part of the hub that attaches to the wheel...
But... this mountney replacement boss does look more like mine!

Yes, the horn button (painted silver on yours) removes and leaves you with the aluminum wheel and black hub parts. You'd buy the wheel- then the mount specifically- just like today's Momos, GTs, etc. I only assert this because I own a Mountney wheel- new still in the stapled plastic bag. _________________
