Did some coachbuild research again - with a result hope i can write more soon...
But now something different - look what i stumbled over by accident: "Wupper Zwerg" owned by a bus travel and car rent company in Germany.
The company "Meinhardt Reisen" still exists today.
Above: At Kohlenstraße in Wuppertal Langenfeld.
Above: At Langenfelder Markt in the 50ies.
Above: At Wuppertal-Langenfeld at the old church - Mercedes has also been used as a rent car by the same company. _________________ Blog website:www.austrosplit.com

Nice photos. Is there something on the 15-Window that makes you think it is not original? |
No, nothing in particullar. I just assumed it as i have hardly seen any 15 window barndoor buses and additionally this pic has been taken in Austria - the country of the barndoor coachbuilders _________________ Blog website:www.austrosplit.com

Have you ever seen a Barndoor like this with built in radar speed detection system? Very ugly but quite rare i guess..

Was formerly a common sight in Germany.
As a driver, you could recognize them in time: there were always a lot of onlookers on the vehicle. |
