Nice story!!! I bought a '71 in 1973, drove it for 13 years (last 2 years of high school and 5 years of college and then some). I rebuilt the engine and put dual Webers on it with a header exhaust. Man that was a great car, had so much fun in it, especially with the back seat folded flat!!!!!! Hahhahhha!!! I really miss that SQBK. Wish I had one. I do have a '66 Beetle and '71 Westy now.

Very cool. Crazy how we can tie ourselves to a car like that.

Buttons out early yesterday morning at Cars and Coffee in Westminster, CO. A bit more "ratback" than Squareback.
