I thought I would start a thread on Snap on tools for air cooled vw's. I have had some of these tools for over twenty years. These are well made tools that make a job a lot easier.

S5911 13/14mm manifold/obstruction wrench

S5922 13mm valve adjust wrench.

S5919 condenser install tool. For aluminum distributors from 60's. Drives condenser into bottom of distributor. No need for Muir's scout knife with one of these!

S5912 Brake adjuster

S5913 7/11mm brake bleeder wrench. This one is NOS with original sticker on it. I have a 7/11mm brake wrench made by KD that is a flared 11mm for soft brake lines that I like better than this one.

S5902 17/21mm Oil service wrench 21mm for engine oil drain plug and 17mm external for trans oil fill/drain plugs. A copy of the Hazet service wrench.

S5915 oil cooler 10mm wrench. Used to remove oil cooler with engine in car on non doghouse coolers. I have a similar Matra one.

S5914 Front engine seal installer. Threads into crankshaft and nut pushes installer in square. In original box.

I would like to see what other VW snap on tools are out there. Thanks, Casey

The S5912 Brake adjuster tool, I found that one at the local pawn shop for .75 cents. It still had the Snap On price sticker on it.

Anyone know if Snap-On made a tool for removing the oil filler on Type 1 engines? I tried googling but I couldn’t come up with anything. Would love to get a part# if it exists.
