Hello, i have a duel master cylinder that i i bled first than i started on the rear brakes next. I have no fluid getting past both sides of the rubber brake flex lines. Brake fluid flows fine up to rubber flex lines. The rubber lines seemed blocked. i have a solid brake pedal. i have the metal lines off of the rear whel cylinders. i ordered new rubber flex lines for the rear. car hasn't been used in years. All new rear lines and wheel cylinders in the rear of car. Does the rubber flex lines go bad after time,????????? still have work on finish bleeding front after rear is done.

The rubber flex brake lines can and often do degrade over time, usually resulting in a restriction to flow as you are experiencing.

Do you have a copy of the "VW Official Service Manual"??

If you do, you need to open it up and read up on how to bleed dual circuit brakes.

If you do not, what manuals do you have??

"Duel" is like when two fellows duel with swords or pistols. Wink

At times I'd say "duel" is rather apropos when dealing with old neglected brakes. Smile

To the OP, it would be wise to go ahead and replace the front flex lines as well if they are anywhere near the same age as the rear lines.

When dealing with old braking systems, the word "breaks" is sometimes also appropriate!
