The dropgates website has the history of the Binz as well as a Binz registry, but I am not sure if it is up to date. I looked on that site and did not see photos of this 59 Binz there, but a lot can happen in 13 years as that truck might be repainted or restored now. Thanks for posting the photos. I would love to have a Binz, but I am just grateful for my Oct. 59 seamed gate double cab I own. The owners asking price of $10k seems cheap now.
http://dropgates.com/

If you need a rear gate for your Truck why not buy a brand new one from Klassic Fab?

Yeah, 10 seems silly cheap now.

Just trying to see if I can save 4 or 5 hundred. I put a wanted up here on TS and already got a dude trying to upsell me a Baywindow gate that needs a ton of work for more than he has it advertised on this site. LOL. Some people out here are unbelievable. They think there is a sucker born every minute...I guess there are though. If I can't find a good used on for reasonable, I'll break down and buy a repop I guess.

Current '62 gate condition:

Did you guys see this amazing binz find posted today? I figured I’d share for those not using Instagram, plus that bus is keeping me up all night considering how close it was to my house. Laughing

He hasn’t said anything yet but I asked the same question, I’ll post the rest of the pics that were in his post.

Nice, that looks like the Binz that was hiding in Brevard. Glad to see it has been extracted!

It is, indeed. Unfortunately, the binz tags are missing, from what I've heard. Confused

Depends on who you ask, but yes, those of us that lived in WNC in the 90's knew about this bus, and know who took the binz tag. A pm has been sent to the new owner in effort to help him track the tag down, but I will not publicly name the individual, who is likely long out of the scene.

Might be able to talk chad "ezcamper" into making another run of reproduction Binz tags copied from my original. Cool

I was curious. Are there any known existing pictures of the Binz factory process of turning the single cab into the double cab?

So did this one still have the rear seat, and is it an actual Binz seat?

I have known this truck since the early 90's, and tried to buy it a few times from a previous owner back when they weren't worth a damn. I am curious if you would share the story about how you came to find it. I know what town it was in, but I did not have the contact info.

So, not a word about this truck in response to my query? I thought maybe the gathered masses here might want to know the story of how you found it.

By the way, it is the same truck in three of these four photos.

#44 recently sold out of northern MN but I have no idea of the sale price. I could have bought it in 1991 for $1500.
