I think i had every one of those models as a kid and after i would build them(horribly may i add, as i had/have little patience) i would destroy them with fireworks. |
... and I used most old models as targets... my nephew and I shot an 1890s single shot, rim fire, rolling block, lever action Stevens Manard Jr and blew them to smithereens... was fun.
Collect unbuilt models since... i'm at the low-end of a builder myself _________________ 5/50, pastel green 11G - SOLD

I lean strongly to enjoying the building process above anything else. This in no way excludes the other choices, but I know what I like doing best.
I'm currently building a Revell 1965 VW Deluxe Station Wagon for BusNutBob. I don't see the project as doing him a favor, rather I thank him for letting me have the fun of building it.
An unbuilt kit is really just a display of the box. and once a kit is built all the work involved tends to fade, and the kit quickly ends up being absorbed into the collection. |

I voted for the build as well, it's just always been my favorite part.
been hesitant to post as my model building skills are average at best. props to everyone that posts their work. Really creative stuff. here are a couple of pics of the "Deal's Wheels" Glitter Bug that I did to match the 1 to 1 scale that I built for her.
here's a pic of Laurie's car.

I like the way you made the air cleaners.
