2 what colour would the dash be?
3 where wold the blue stop in the door ways?
4 what colour under the bus and wheel arch
Pictures would be fantastic

The engine bay will be blue. The interior will stay white. Blue underneath.
Here's my original paint '74 bus. Some touch-up paint in the step...
I can take more pics if you need them. _________________ Joey

What he said^^^^
If you want to do the dash blue, do the front, leave the top satin black, otherwise, you will have problems with the glare.
On mine, we painted the engine bay and underneath the darker colour, as it was a stripped body shell in a roll over rig, during resto.

If you want to do it strictly like VW did, then I'd suggest a little more digging through threads. I recall a thread discussing the two-tone paint jobs, and that VW changed how they painted the Buses somewhere along the way. I.e. which color the engine compartment and under neat was, and potentially the cut off lines.
I don't remember the exact year they made the change, and with 1972 being a cross over year of sorts, you'll want to do a little more research before assuming that the way the orange bus in this thread was painted follows the same pattern as your Bus. _________________ Dave Cook
