Once again, flagrant cheating, line cutting during entry to the show.
One of the worst ... the owner of a nice early blue split window, small back window, with early California plates and a long roof rack ... who would periodically stop, blocking everyone waiting behind him, and then wave in his buddies coming from the opposite direction, who would make U turns and zip into the space he created by his line blocking.
He did this several times, making the rest of us wait just that much longer.
So sad to see this kind of thoughtless, rude behavior among us laid back bus owners. _________________ "Honesty hath no fence against superior cunning" |

Doc, I agree 100%......rules only apply to those that follow them.
I also noticed lots of dogs, tripped over 2 leaches......
Bicylces...cutting in front of me 3 times as I browsed at some of the venues.
And this was in 15 minutes of being there.
OCTO folks pay attention...these are legit grips _________________ .

Not much we can do about the line cutting (definitely a bummer though). Its always the same issue, guys all want to be by each other but if they don't come at the same time (so they are in line at the same time) its an issue. I deal with it during parking as they want to wait (in the middle of lot) while their buddies catch up.
I'll mention the dog thing to Erik but I'm guessing they were smuggled in and not seen at the gate.
Minus these things I hope everyone had a great time. It was a great day (weather wise) and a great turnout. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

My wife and I were on vacation in Las Vegas last weekend and decided to make a side trip to Long Beach to catch the show. We left Vegas at 4am with little sleep and made the four hour drive without incident. We both had a good time and my wife enjoyed seeing the various bus models at the show. The swap was really nice, compared to most shows in the midwest, where you might see 10% of parts available at this show. We spoke to a few vendors and bus owners, who were friendly and approachable. I don't recall seeing any dogs at the show at all. The guy working the gate was doing his best to direct people into the grounds. Overall, we had a good time with no complaints at all. |
