I am having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to remove the wires from the white connector block that connects the wiring harness in the engine bay to the tail light harness. How can I disconnect without cutting the wires? |

There is a litttle tab that holds the terminal in the block.
Many times you can depress it with a strategically placed bent paper clip or similar. It can be tricky but if you push the wire in a little, that will prevent the tab from having friction against the block when you try to depress it with the paperclip. Then you can usually pull it straight out.
You can see a sample of the tab in this pic (it is most apparent in the middle image):

We use a small screw driver that I ground down to fit. |
