Please pardon mi ignorance on this matter. I have searched the Big I for information on this brand and came up empty.

I inherited the tool pictured below from my neighbor about 30 years ago and it is at least 40 years old. I tloks like a high speed sander but I am not certain. Do any of the OLDER-timers out there know who the manufacturer is?
I have a DA sander from the same manufacturer and I need to replace the air valve/trigger on it. If the tool pictured below is in fact a sander, what parts am I missing and what is the proper name for the flat circular threaded retainer that sits over the sanding disc?

Cheers,
Emil

It's a disc sander. They are not rare or expensive by any stretch, you could probably find another one with the missing nut cheap.
