Will 54 rear seat fit 56 beetle?

As the topic says, will 54 rear seat fit 56 beetle with some modifications?

They fit on the rails but the stop don´t work.

Sell your rare seat and buy the newer modell you need.

Here is my sons 1956 seat.

I have a 54 pan with a 56 body, so for the front seats I use the 54's without problem.

It is the rear I have a problem with, because it bolts to the body.

You will need a 56 and later rear seat...the 54 rear seat mounts much differently.

You’ll also need the rear support bar for a 56+ rear seat bottom

You could sell the 54 rear seat for a lot more money than a 56+ seat

as far as I know, you can use a 1956 to 1964 rear seat and leading edge bar for the bottom and the same year range for the back rest

The back rest part attaches by bolting on to the body also, but the attaching configuration is very different on the seat part on a '54... I suggest not to try to get it to work as that rear seat has real value, like 3 or 4 x more... should be easy to get the'56 to 1964 rear seat and bar.

Yep. Sell your '54 seat for a tidy profit and pickup a much cheaper and easier to find '56 -'64 seat.

your profile doesn't say where you are... too bad.
If you are near Oklahoma, there is a defunct old all=VW junk yard near me that you could get a later back seat and bar - i'd say for $50... they won't ship though.
Most people are the opposite of you. They have an easier to get newer one and need an older one... i'd rather be in your shoes... you might even try a back seat and bar from a 70s bug - i'd bet it would be close enough.
