So 3 years ago I trade the 64 for a 51 gmc, I thought the youngest was going to need therapy. I thought he would get over it but almost everyday he asked when we were getting Rojo back! Well last week I got tagged in a FB post and sure enough it was the car.

This is indeed a great story. Hopefully you can teach them to drive in this car! |

I think you should rechristen it Boomer. Short for boomerang. _________________ 1960 Indigo Blue Ragtop (Blue Barry)

That's so cool that the kids got to grow up with it! My dad and I picked up my 73 when I was 12 years old and fixed it up together. I'm pushing 40 now and still have the car, every time I look at it it's like going back in time to my teenage years in the garage with my dad. _________________ 1973 Superbeetle: 1st car, owned since age 12. The youngest is the car guy of the two, we can’t hardly go anywhere without him almost making himself car sick scanning for old cars. I too grew up helping my dad on old trucks and vws, he was was more of a Chevy fan than VW but helped me just the same. Definitely something that stays with you. _________________ AKA 67dub |
