Hey yall,
Hoping to get some help diagnosing a tach mystery. On our 87 Vanagon I recently (1) swapped the analog clock and gauges with a tach and related gauges (2) replaced the gauge cluster foil with the GoWesty PCB http://www.gowesty.com/product/electrical-electronic/24189/printed-circuit-board-replacement-kit.
Issue: tach seems to work fine under 3k rpm. But I can be hitting the gas in 3rd gear around 40-45mph before going into 4th and the tach never goes above 3. Even at highway speeds it seems kinda stuck there.
Anyone ever see this before?
Thanks! |

Sorry I’m no help but I’m surprised that 56 peeps have looked at this post and no one has a suggestion.
This must be a very unique issue
Wish I could help.
Sorry bro.

A factory tach or an aftermarket one? _________________ ‘84 Westy, 2.1L with Digijet, 5.43 R+P, GT Gears
