Hi All. Could any one tell me how to install a louvered (Jalousie) window 'back' into my70 Westy? One side took two of us about 4 hours, with lots of silicone oil and rubber mallets. There must be an easier way. Its like trying to fit a 'square' peg into a 'round' hole!! You tube shows two blokes putting top in and pushing in bottom, with no effort and done in about five minutes, with no swearing to boot!! She just had new paint, so trying to be extra gentle!!
Any advice very much appreciated!

Dave

Did you put new rubber on them, if so who's? Should slide in rather easily then attach all the retaining screws.

Yes new gray rubber from bus Depot, part of kit for whole window. Did not slide in easy at all.

Do you have a link to the video. It sounds like you are putting the window in the seal and then putting the window and seal on the bus.

IIRC one of the other camper manufacturers did install there Louvered window using the vw window seal.

This is how Early Westfalia windows went in.

The screws go through the pinch weld and into the little duckbilled channels.
