I've been sand blasting and powder coating my engine tin and other various parts and I've had pretty good results, except for two pieces that I need to redo. I've tried sand blasting the parts again but the powder coat is on there really good and would take forever with my undersized compressor.
I've done some searching and some people have suggested aircraft stripper. Anyone have any experience that would make the job easier? _________________ 77 westy 2.0 FI

Since, apparently, I'm the only one who powder coats, I'll answer my own question.
Using aircraft stripper, does indeed, remove powder coating and it does it with minimal effort.
There are multiple brands of this stuff and they all work just as well. I picked my can up from AutoZone but I know O'Reilly carries something similar as well. _________________ 77 westy 2.0 FI

I've also had success with soaking in acetone, although it will evaporate quickly.
Paints and powedercoats are usually just plastics, so whatever dissolves plastic is fairly effective, whether methylene chloride or acetone... _________________ 1972 Standard Beetle
