I'm ready to install my new GoWesty hook-up boxes. I thought I'd start with the easiest one first--the city water. Not so easy, because some beefy-pawed German torqued the 90 degree brass fitting onto the hookup box. How have others removed this without tearing everything I need to pieces?

1st post. Welcome. Maybe you could gently loosen the other end from the faucet and take the whole thing off the van to get better leverage. Be careful with the other end too because that plastic is brittle.

Thank you. I'll try that tomorrow.

If you are replacing the box, go ahead and tear it to pieces!

I think the 120v is the easiset. Make sure you test for leaks before you actually put hookup box back on side of van.

I removed the hose from the faucet and 90° elbow, then pulled the box completely (followed by the hose out through the cabinet... didn't use city water and converted the hook-up to solar connection).

We may end up doing the solar conversion somewhere down the line, but are just trying to get everything working first. We may decide we don't need city water (not many campgrounds have water hookups anyway.)
