You will need to get upside down over the top of the fuel tank. Bring wrenches, bring wire connectors, crimps and shrink wrap. The switch is held in place with a small escutcheon ring on the inside of the cockpit. Id install the motor and arms first, then switch. If you have a radio, it will probably need to come out. It can be tight. Do you have all the parts and in working order? The Bentley manual has decent instructions. Lots of previous threads on wipers too. Like these...

This is for my 70. Cant be much different than your 68.

The motor attaches to the armature. The armature is mounted by the wiper shafts that poke through and a bracket that bolts to one of the vertical supports. As someone said the switch mounts in the dash with an escutcheon nut.

Mine operate properly but I'm still curious as to why 31b is not interconnected and why 53a and b swap from the motor to the switch.
