You never posted about your experience or pointers on shipping from Europe.

Interested in any pointers you may have.

Try PM-ing user "seeligdan"

He just did this both ways about a month ago from Europe. He slipped through customs within like two weeks. No headaches.

I get what three out of four icons in that nose logo mean, but what's the top right one? Looks like the guy is holding a crane's hook?

Nice truck.

I suppose it means rescue. If your car overturned, they can call a bigger truck for help!

The firefighter holding a hook is "Technical Rescue Trained" or Recover .... such as you said....car rescue, vehicle extrication, high angle and rope rescue..... Specialty Rescue Skill Disciplines.

Fancy German explanation....rooted in Latin...rescue, extinction(middle English - extinguish), recover, protect: logo of the Feuerwehr or German fire department

Therefore, Feuerwehr Logo = Fire Suppression Services, Technical Rescue Services, Technical Water Rescue Services, and Emergency Medical Services.

Yes, I am a firefighter nerd.

....
Feuerwehr Logo = Fire Suppression Services, Technical Rescue Services, Technical Water Rescue Services, and Emergency Medical Services.

this is correct. German translation (clockwise):

Bergen = Technical services (e.g. accidents)
Retten = Rescue services
Schützen = Protective services (catastrophe protection, s.g. flooding)
Löschen = Fire fighting (Fire)

^^ Just noticed this bus above has Safaris. What would you need Safari windows for on a Fire truck ?

with where Andorra is located, perhaps the bus was sourced in Spain where Safaris would make sense?

Maybe they were a custom upgrade like the special rear bumper and exhaust

Wells it looks like I will be getting the firetruck restored here in the near future. There is quite a but of rust that will not repair itself! Lots of decisions to make. The truck was originally sealing wax red with beige interior paint. I feel like I want to go with some sort of fire engine red on both the outside and inside. Does anybody know of a paint code for that color? Or if there is even an official red that was used?

Does it have a paint code on the M-code plate?

From the paint page on the site, it looks SK688 is Fire Vehicle Red but it might have a suffix at the end too.
I think all the Fire Red colors are the same?

I'm not sure why it would be Beige inside, I would think it would be red up front and the factory primer color in the cargo area

If I am reading the codes correctly it says it left the factory in primer.

The official firetruck red in Germany is and was RAL3000.
