The wheel should be balanced in 2 directions, around the circumference and also side to side. Putting weights only on one side of the rim can really screw with the side to side balance.
Next time you are at the tire shop watch them balance tires on the spin balancer and you will see the readout tells the technician where weight is needed and which side of the wheel it needs to go on. On some of the better machines it also tells how close to the center of the rim it needs it needs to go. So the weight doesn't just go on the inside, it could go on the inside of the inside, or farther out towards the bead. _________________ Mother Nature is a Mean Evil Bitch! |

These balance beads are sounding more attractive all the time. |

Old thread . Just wondering if anyone tried using the computer balance after adding the beads and what the result was? |

From what I've read these do not work with computer balancing , not really sure why. |

You can computer balance first, THEN add beads as a supplement.
But once they are in... you cant speed/computer balance the wheels.
Reason...The beads can't disperse fast enough in the short time a balancer measures a wheel..
If beads (or liquid) are inside a wheel and placed on a balancer and spun, the balancer will measure inconsistent weight amounts and locations as the beads (or liquid) is trying to disperse during the measuring..
It just wont work...
