Judging from the picture, it ain't gonna clear the axle stub if they can't get the bearing cap on the front drum. I can only imagine the carnage it would make of a Ghia's rear arches. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

Yeah, and you'd probably knock your fillings loose after driving a few miles with those things on your wheels too _________________ '63 Ragtop (current)

I know when I'm driving in wet weather, I like to leave my front bearing caps off so water can get in there. _________________ How to Post Photos

Interesting.... Tire chains would be a better choice for ice, snow or mud....The new radial chains are pretty damn good, but you need to keep your speed low.
And those that said about it not clearing the bearing cap...you put it on the inside, not the outside....Pretty obvious to me..... (still on first cup of coffee) _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

Yeah, who needs those pesky spindles and axles, anyway? _________________ “If you care for a thing long enough, it takes on a life of its own, doesn't it? Mending old things, preserving them, looking after them – on some level there's no rational grounds for it.”
