I'd be in for LHD for a '65.

First off.. not all of us Type-3 Owners are "Cheap-Asses"... some of us are just asses!

I'd buy 5 of them in LHD and 1 RHD!

Yip yah, here we go!!!!..... I think the best way to go would be to produce a blank mat so that the pedal slots can be cut out in either LHD or RHD. This has been mentioned earlier and they would not look too bad, only missing the bead around the edge of the slots. The real issue here is which mats to make as there are 3 different types that I know of; 61- 63, mid 63-64(RHD Notch, you have this one, pattern is more pebble pattern) and 1965-ribbed(for your pleasure!!). A new ribbed mat would look great and I'd put my hand up for one... in fact, I'd put hands up for the 61-63 type, and ribbed. Therefore there would be a decent market for the earliest type for sure and the ribbed mat you would think. The intermediate 64 mat should be given a miss. My ribbed mat is crispy and falling apart with gravity, the 62 mat is in tact though. The mats lhd/rhd are symmetrical in overall shape and will be more of a prick to reproduce as they are not flat like the oval mats unless an original will just get a hot mold poured over it.
