Haven't had a chance to really investigate yet. Talking about the high pitched sound. I know it's not the alternator, it stops when I hit the gas. Vacuum leak, perhaps? Definitely on the driver's side.

Yeah, I'm thinking leak. I can feel some air on that side. Unfortunately it's raining here all weekend so it's gonna have to wait. <sigh> 4 more weeks until I move into the new house with a garage....modern livin' _________________ -=Rob

Congrats on the new garage. If you can squeeze in a little time, make one of these. It will save you time and aggravation when you are looking for the leak.
To completely rule out the alt, take the belt of and run it.
Good luck
