Not being selfish but my favorite is my June 52 ragtop; what’s not to like: crotch coolers, factory ragtop, black L41, not perfect paint=great driver.....

… to say one split is better than another , sure is close-minded... best not to be so absolute … is no one-way to view anything - they sure are all beautiful

some like to make their split look all-new-and-pretty - some like to leave'um alone - no right and no wrong way …

all splits are 10s

These odd small-headlight splits are pretty interesting I think.

I've only ever been able to find three photos of beetles with these headlights fitted. I'm guessing none exist today.

Grundmanns reconstructed these Kόbelwagen headlights on their 45 Beetle.

Those headlights remind me of a bug-eyed Chinese koi goldfish's eyeballs unusual but interesting...

mikeandkristi, i am with you, L41 is where it is at, beautiful car. My first beetle was a 59 in L41.

Black duz not patina well as the gray primer is too much of a contrast, when worn down, but when an even coast, L41 is grand...
