I’ve done a pretty good search on the oil cooler and almost everything tha comes back is how to replace the seals and or the cooler itself.

My question is on a dual relief case, how and exactly when does the oil cooler come into play? Or is oil always running through the cooler? I have a Bentley and he Muir book. Is there detail on how the relief valves and cooler work? I’m trying to understand when and how the system works.[/b]

I'm sorry, I know you told me to go away Frodge, but I just want to help you out.

I had bookmarked this a while ago, because I had the same curiosity as you.

It relates to a dual-relief case specifically, but the diagrams this guy provides really helped me understand the whole system.

I'll go elsewhere now.

I believe that I've pi$$ed off EVERYBODY on this forum more than once.

Even the moderator once pulled my avatar photo because someone thought it showed "nip", but after I sent him the full-size photo he was a real bud and said it was fine, and restored it.
