I received from my friend, Rick Search, an old German CKO KELLERMANN Adler flip top tin toy car that was in poor condition.
We thought that it would be a good project car for the Restor-Version Shop.

Check out the photos to see the transformation from the poor condition CKO Adler toy car into a 1938 V303 IIIA-42803
KdF Wagen Convertible.

This KdF Wagen Convertible was presented at the May 23, 1938 Cornerstone Ceremony at the town of Stadt des KdF Wagens, Germany.

Very original thinking & execution as always! The clear paper background is actually overlaid on the burgundy hood/bonnet etc? Cool

OK . . my good friend rick68 who is an avid VW Cabrio enthusiast and has a couple of the full scale Vintage VW Cabrios
(1962 & 1968) and he also has an awesome collection of the Vintage VW Cabrio model & toy collection as well.

Anyway, rick68 liked my CKO German Adler to CKO IIIA-42803 KdF Wagen Cabrio Restor-Version project.
So, rick68 ask me if he could find a beater German CKO Adler Flip Top toy, would I create a second CKO
1938 KdF Wagen Cornerstone IIIA-42803 Cornerstone for him.

Of course said YES ! ! ! Just send me your retirement portfolio and the CKO Adler Flip Top car ! !
After several months . . . . rick68 found the CKO German Adler in marginal condition . . . it needed a full blowout
& some mechanical work and he had it shipped directly to me . . .

I sent it through my Restor-Version Shop and here are the results !!

It was a WIN–WIN situation . . . . Just love this hobby, friends and bringing the life back into these old non-collectable beater toys ! !
