So i picked my 2386 motor with dual 44 webers from my engine builder and am going to install tomorrow. Question is do i have to remove the carbs to stab in the motor? Any tips would be helpful, i yanked out the motor but it had no carbs on it at the time. Thanks in advance!

Yes, the carbs and manifolds must be removed first. Don't forget to block the ports in the heads with clean rags also. Last chance to replace your vital engine bay seal as well if yours is damaged or missing.

I was surprised at how tight the fit was when I installed my stock engine back in after I had the tranny rebuilt.
It didn't help that I had a serpentine belt system on the engine. For and aft room it tight.

As mentioned by c.davis419, the engine will have to be installed without the carbs and intake manifolds. Luckily, there is decent amount of room to install the carbs/manifolds after the motor is in place.
