If you haven't heard by now VW is the Featured Marque at the 36th Annual Arthritis Foundation Classic Auto Show & Cruise-In July 5th thru 7th at 600 Metro Pl. North Dublin Ohio 43017. www.arthritis.org/autoshow

Herbie is our special guest this year and is the show's featured car. Mark Schlachter's 1963 Herbie Tribute will be on display in the lobby of our host hotel The Crowne Plaza during the weekend. Also look for a special display of Herbie & The Love Bug movie memorabilia. Thanks to a generous COVVC member!

GTI will be celebrating the 35th anniversary of their U.S. intro. GTI, the original "Hot Hatch" will be honored with an award class all their own! Lets see at least one from each generation, modded or stock!

Special guests and live music, great food & beverage plus over 1,000 of the finest cars in the region. "Cars Galore & So Much More!"

As a feature we have included a few VW themed family friendly Special Events to kick off the weekend!

What: Mark Garrett and his wife Debi enjoy sharing their "hidden museum" with fellow enthusiasts. Mark started collecting VW toys and memorabilia in 1984. After completing a two-year restoration on a 1968 Beetle, he wasn't ready to dive into another full-blown project, but still wanted to do something that would involve him in the VW community. Starting with a small four shelf plant stand, the collection grew year after year to its current count of over 3500 toys and literature. The collection ranges from vintage tin plate toys up to new, limited edition collectables. Mark & Debi look forward to giving everyone a guided tour for their open house event to kick of the Classic Auto Show weekend and celebrate the VW as a Featured Marques! No RSVP needed, just swing by.

What: The 36th Annual Classic Auto Show and Cruise-In is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Herbie! To commemorate this pop culture icon, COVVC, The Tinder Box (Karric Square) and The Arthritis Foundation invite you and your whole family to join us for a free Drive-In Movie Under the Stars! Join us in your car, bring a blanket, or grab one of our chairs in the Metro V Lot and enjoy the 1968 classic Disney Movie, The Love Bug. Concessions, including Pepsi products, candy, and hot, fresh popcorn will be available and benefits the Arthritis Foundation.
Herbie, the lovable car with a mind of his own. Dean Jones, Michele Lee, and Buddy Hackett join Herbie in this revved-up comedy classic. Jones plays down-on-his-luck race car driver Jim Douglas, who reluctantly teams up with the little machine. Douglas thinks his sudden winning streak is due to his skill, not Herbie's. He finally realizes the car's worth when a sneaky rival plots to steal Herbie for himself.

With the help of the Central Ohio Vintage VW club and the rest of the VW and Herbie loving community the 36th Arthritis Foundation Classic Auto Show raised over $240,000.00 for the mission of helping those afflicted with this debilitating disease. Thank you all who could support!
