Those little reflectors near the headlights look like the ones on South African buses. |
The ZA sticker and the LS sticker on these pics tie in with it being from South Africa. |

Here’s a couple more pics Ray dropped in today , unfortunately I wasn’t there to ask him anything , I think they are the same bus due to the dents and the GBJ sticker in the same places although the plates are different.
Also looks like another bus door poking out in this pic . |
Something to ask - Is the roof opened with a cover here? _________________ How to Post Photos

Majestic photos. I love the brushguard over the cab. Looks like that last pic his duty was to fill the ambulance with the laundry? |

This has got to be one of the oddest pics ever posted. I realize it must be a line up for a parade or something, but...
A guy looking like Douglas Macarthur swigging a bottle with guys wearing pig noses and a 23W full of people wearing cans on top of their heads followed by a giant fish float! _________________ "Do you see what happens Larry?!?!" |

in germany during Fasching (mardi gras) it would not be that odd. Not sure what the occasion was for this one. _________________ regards

This is definitely a South African bus. ZA is South Africa and CB registration is Port Elizabeth. Incidentally the VWSA factory was at Uitenhage, near Port Elizabeth. The earlier pics with the BA registration may mean the bus lived in Botswana before. I think BA was Francistown. _________________ fig

Is that you? That '63 is one of those outie-vent outie-lip issues. How long did those get produced? |

I should have said this is not my 15-Window since I have posted old pics of my Bus from the original owner in the past.
I'm also not in the pics, I'm too young.
Yes, it's an early '63 15-Window so 8/62 to 3/63
