The first Type 3 I have owned, so a lot to learn. My dilemma is, it was originally a L41 black car with India Red interior. It is currently primered - if I were to paint it, I would paint it the original black. BUT, the body has several small dings and dents to address first. The PO included two perfect doors, the original 1500 and a ton of other parts.
Fresh black paint would show every blemish. So, I would have fix all of the dents and dings before paint. I really wish it just had a patina. I think patina looks good on classic cars that have the dents and dings associated with being a 50 year old car.
