I am currently building a volksair compressor for my shop bought the kit from dunn-right out of South Carolina. |

They've been in that compressor business for decades, remember reading about the kit in old Hot VWs magazine. Maybe Oct. 1997 issue. _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each. The '71 now has the 1835 engine, swapped from the '70. Second owner of each. 1988 Mazda B2200 truck, 1998 Frontier, 2014 Yukon, 2004 Frontier King Cab. have to cut a few push rods. Used torch and pliers to remove ends.
putting new bearings and gears on the crank
rebuilding the heads

still lots more small stuff to do. Could have taken short route but but better take the correct one. |

everything is in its place
everything torque to spec yeah the crank is frozen. Pulled back apart the standard cam bearings are not standard. They fit the case as the old ones did |

after some little problems with the case I was able to get it turning. now to get it up on this 75 gallon tank |

have it out in my shed now to cut out the noise in the shop. just got to plumb the oil cooler an filter, get a small fuel tank an plumb the lines and finish the wiring |

Cleaning pool tile, in Tucson, Arizona, since 2014. Compressor makes 56 cfm @ 100 psi. 'Volks-Aire' conversion kit from Dunn-Right Inc. The magic is in the cam shaft: 4 cycle, in the front, two cycle, in the back.
