Hey everybody,

Happy Summer!

So, the Short Version:
The rear passenger-side lower shock mount sheared off of the trailing arm.

The mount metal is still attached to the shock, which is now just dangling.
The mount metal is a little deformed and I assume can't/shouldn't be re-used or re-attached.

Can a competent repair shop re-weld or fabricate an attachment, which will work and be safe?

Should I think about replacing the trailing arm?

I have considered a set of +1" boxed trailing arms.

Background:
This situation was probably the unintended consequence of my 3" raised Doug Fuller spindles in the front, which necessitated adjusting the torsion bar splines in the back.
That probably put too much strain on the replacement shocks that my shop put in. Or maybe the length of the shock wasn't right.

Not sure how to progress.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

As a welder, if that trailing arm can be purchased easily I would definitely go that route and replace the entire unit.
