that looks familiar
Careful with that wheel setup, you might knock a fender off. Those wheels look real nice though _________________ Wash your hands

Creative Car Craft in Florida offers wider than stock fiberglass fenders. Look like stock, but wider and look a lot more buff. _________________ Richard

Hi folks,
does anyone have a pic of a car with wideeye fenders and stock bonnets?
Seems that for an upcoming project I will use those fenders to mount even bigger wheels. But the engine compartment has to stay closed to keep the dirt out ...
Here are some pics of my offroad bug:

The cost at this time is $175USD each.
And Fronts
Current price $235USD each

I like the look already. Nice. What is the eyebrow at the top of the back window? |

The eyebrow is for ventilation purposes in panamericana style.
Thanks for the pics. I am looking for a pic/ impression with stock bonnets and baja fenders. Mine the chocolate bug, is with widened fenders but my next off road bug needs even bigger wheels. That's why I am asking ... _________________ If I can sent you anything you look for that can be bought in Germany more easily I´d be glad to help ...

I've been wanting a Baja since about 1975, this is my third attempt a getting one put together since then. Life and other cars distracted me, but that's for another thread.
I ran across this 62 and had been trying to buy it since last summer, being a ragtop was the deciding factor that this is the one;
The Baja didn't have an engine so I bought this 72 super with a 1600 dp as a parts car in October, it had been setting for at least 4 years but the engine turned over by hand; so I took a gamble.
Money being a factor, it didn't look like I was going to get the 62 Baja I wanted and settled on building the super into a Baja. That was ok because I don't plan on racing it anyway, it's just going to be a daily driver. I've always liked the Baja look, so I got it running, replaced all the wheel cylinders and master, the hoses and a couple brake lines. I found a ragtop kit online for $700 and was just about to buy it when out of nowhere a windfall came my way. The 62 Baja ragtop was still available so things worked out; I got it about 6 weeks ago and the Super is a good roller that needs pans repaired or replaced, and now an engine ... it can be someone else's parts car.
Now fully committed (and pretty excited) I ordered a set of EMPI 40mm dual-throat dual carbs, 1.5" headers/exhaust, electronic ignition, Mofoco 92mm heads with oversized valves and drop in 92mm C&P ... Thanks to some advice, I held off on installing the heads, P&C until I get the lower end rebuilt, I want a 74mm crank and mild cam anyway ... I don't know how many miles are on this engine but it seems to be a perfectly good case so I don't see the logic in taking a chance and blowing a hole in it on a bad decision of adding more pressure to a unknown lower end that may not be able to take it.
Anyway, here's what I've got so far;
Got it in and started Saturday night, but haven't driven it yet, I've got a few electrical kinks to workout and a dual brake master cylinder to be installed ... but we (me & "The Rag" will be on the road soon
