stripping it back to OG Turkis paint, looks good so far, once I get it to where I can look at it, I will then start on the engine brakes and transaxle.

I always found honesty to be the best policy...one shouldn't fear others knowing they use common household products, easy off I mean haha.

The paint stripping looks great! What a great and drastic color change. Beer and or weed can be helpful, I think, for a project such as this. _________________ Brandon |

Indeed!
Must have been pretty solid but just wrinkled! Mine was rust held together with bondo.
How did you get access to bang it out? _________________ Some people are so busy being clever they don't have time enough to be wise. |

Cleaning the inside out a little, the man that had the bus for 30 years had a hoard of vw parts, sadly I got the bus from the people he sold it to. but it still had some stuff in it, new heads, new Mahle piston set, Lots of new valves, , tons of new gaskets, more points and spark plugs than I will ever need. A lot of Bosch tune up parts, 1 glass tail light, was hoping to find a box of them!! Distributors, New blue coils. Heads piston set and valves will go up for sale, I don't build engines. I build vw's

Well this is how it turned out in the end.
I am wanting to build this bus just to make it a survivor of the Paradise fire. I lost all my parts and am hoping for some help, it needs everything, So if you have some parts to donate I would appreciate it. I need windows, rubbers, seat covers, interior parts handles, trim, locking mechanisms, anything and everything.

Dude! Devastating
I'll scrounge for what little I have to donate, nothing near what the peeps here are probably sitting on. I may have some pieces off my '64 standard that may apply.
Sorry to see that. |
