OK--I fell for the "Supers have curved windshields" myth and bought a master cylinder and slave cylinders designed for a standard Beetle when mine is actually a Super. So, what are the differences in the parts? Since everything I have seems to bolt up perfectly, do I have to get Super Beetle parts, or will the standard parts work?

Edit: Never mind. I see that my rear cylinders are OK, but my fronts will be the wrong diameter and the MC will have an extra fitting that isn't used on the Super.

I assume the difference in wheel cylinder diameter is because of the single output from the MC. How much difference in size was there? (Just interested--I don't plan to use them.)

As you found out, only the rears are the same. The Super master cylinder is definitely different, as are the front brake stuff. I have both a 1970 standard and a 1971 Super, over 40 years with each, so I know this.

And transmission, engine, rear metal is same on 1971 standard and Super.
