Doesn’t Ken at the Busco. have your old Westy? Have him send you your old hinges. You are referring to the rear poptop hinges? |

Did you read Steve and Ray's comments about surface tension?, sleep well............... |
I apparently misread it. Will double check with Jerry the cleaning procedure he does. Dustin’s done all the work and has been cleaning with soapy water and air the whole time I’ve just been floating around the farm. I’ll chat more about it with him and see.
Fingers crossed... _________________ Stuart Zickefoose

Unless they've changed equipment already at NWCR's new space since I was up there in the spring, everything goes through the hot tank machine and it's not solvent being used anymore. Heated aqueous solution of some kind. |

Well this is good news. I can almost guess someone will point out the parts washer won’t get in the right spaces though. Go figure
Dustin is at work with a buddy at a landscaping company for the day. Might get to work full time for a week or more if it works out, so he will have more cash to offset engine costs for the trip. Last I heard they are still good to be on the road through January or so.
Next step is Wednesday going down to get the heads and cylinders etc. keep ya posted!
In the meantime...I’m cleaning the vanagon out and prepping that engine for fresh heads and pistons too...gonna knock it out so we can go break in both around the same time. _________________ Stuart Zickefoose

You need more cordless drills to finish the project properly. _________________ If you haven't bled on them, you haven't worked on them.
