return up an rev trhe bus about 3000 rpm
return under the pump start to make sound like vibration put my hand on the pump and feel something vibrating
my wife tell me this morning "hey what is that sound" it was the pump

Everything is pointing to a restriction in flow. When there is normal flow the gasoline cools the pump as it moves through the pump and the pump isn't having to suck hard so it runs quiet. However once something on the suction side of the pump begins to limit fuel flow, the pump begins to cavitate and starts making noise and the lack of flow causes the pump to get hot.

The best timing for your engine will be 28° BTDC @3500+ rpm, hose(s) off and plugged. Depending on what distributor you have and its condition, if you time your engine to the spec given in the book it may not run all that well or may run hot.

update
dwell at 45-50
timing at 28 BTDC @ 3500

i have an exhaust leak at deceleration small back fire or pop at the exhaust

go for road test
engine idle and run great
i try to get a cruising speed of 60mph it's seem to be very long to get that speed
i'm not very used to run air cooled engine so maybe not go enough higher in rpm
remark my rpm in the dash is not install yet
your comment please
thanks

Look in the Owners manual for shift point and speeds.

yes and hose blocked

order center pin (loose in steering)
check everything but loose come from there for sure

What do you think about performance of the engine
dwell ok
point at 016 check and clean
timing at 28 BTDC at 3500 rpm
last compression test around 110-120 each

leak at exhaust
but like i write earlier newbie to aircooled but trying to make 60mph last run seem like impossible
the only thing i can see is i dont rev enough the engine to make it
if i remember right i shift 3 to 4 at maybe 40-45 mph (canada 60KmH)

The engine should run 75mph/120Kph easily enough.

Do a 30 kilometer highway run and then pull a plug and get us a nice sharp picture of it.

That's a good speed to be shifting from 3rd to 4th at.

Anything odd about your bus? like tiny tires?, big tires?, high top?, 5000 lbs of surf and video gear onboard?
