No special engine. Got the same engine every other US Canadian bus got. For the Euro market, you may have been able to get it with the Upright 1600cc engine?

I didn’t realize this thread existed, I got my bus, which after showing it off on the board, some users and myself have decided that mine is a CE also.
vin 2282096313
At the time that I got it I couldn’t read the whole m-plate, and I don’t have the bus around to try and clean it up (HOA rules has forced me to store it at a friends house for now), when I get the numbers off the m plate I’ll update.
I’ll also have to update with more pictures. |

Here's a 78 transporter for you to add:
Build: 1/78 (Fourth week, third day: 1/25/1978)
Last 6: 083416
I'm considering buying this one. _________________ '71 Transporter "June" (traded a nissan hardbody + some $) (daily)
'76 Westy "Sandy" (traded an ak-47) (on hold)

Peabody's post of the M-plate reminded me about a question I have: On my Westy, the plate has M-code D63. That's the only I couldn't find information on.
Secondly, does anyone know if the windshield came standard with a green-shaded area at the top or does it just mean the windshield was replaced at some time?
Thanks for any help! |

Yes, I had found that myself, but those dates make it appear it's not applicable to a 1978 model? |

Maybe molenari (member here and a m code guru) can help you out. _________________ '71 Transporter "June" (traded a nissan hardbody + some $) (daily)

Hi all. I have had these CE II Brochures for a few years helping me with elements of restoration detail on my 77 bus here in Australia. I know they're not all bus pictures/info but thought they'd be of interest.
I no longer have a use for them so would like them to go to a CE II owner (preferably bus or bug) to keep with their vehicle. Let me know if you want them and are prepared to chip in for postage.
Sorry that they are photo's, our scanner is stuffed!

Hello folks,
bought several weeks ago my 77' t2b CE I.
I got it from a retailer in south germany, he imported the bus from california.
The conditions of the chassis are really good, no deep rust, and mostly original paint.
Now I research some facts about production rates and history. Unfortunatly I can't find facts, only the speculations here and in the facebook group.
Later I will look again for the m-plate, still couldn't locate it for now.
Within the next months and years I will restore it completely
