Do you have a brand name or vendor for that tape measure? Are the measurements on the same face or opposite? I had to return the one I bought because the metric scale was on the underside and was a pin to use.

Several people have requested copies of these drawings. If you use the drawings, or have a Ghia in a state where you can compare measurements, PM me any differences you find and I will create year specific drawings and upload them to this thread.

Measurement updates coming! Hard to find the time between work, commute, and family. At this rate I'll be retired and in a wheelchair by the time the car is done! _________________ 2019 Golf Alltrack, '65 Ghia Coupe Restoration in Progress |

I have not had an opportunity to incorporate this contribution to the original drawings so I am including it here for the benefit of the community. Samba member "Peter D." sent me this edited drawing based on his 1964 Ghia Coupe.

Friends, I have a 68 Coupe that has original seat rails but some 80's looking Chevy seats installed. Luckily the original rails are there. I bought some Ghia seats but my problem is that the railings on the seats I bought are right at 19 inches and do not marry up with the seat rails which are 21 inches. Can anyone let me know what year seats from Ghias fit these larger tracks? I am not set on 68 only seats but would like true Ghia seats that fit.
Moving the rails/tracks inward doesn't look like it would work due to the contour of the pan.
Thank you. |
