Hi guys, I just picked up an April 1954 oval. I have searched and read as much as possible and can't seem to correlate my engine case stamping to any sort of date. Stamping on the pedestal is "E22712" (no zeros) below the firing order and is cast part of the right case. Does anyone have any insight? Has this been a replaced motor? New to air cooled, not to water cooled though. Thanks in advance.
