On some distys this isn’t correct. The firing order of course is but #1 is back right, #4 is front right etc. need to know what distributor they have. _________________ 1960 Indigo Blue Ragtop (Blue Barry)

Right, and diagram also assumes that the distributor drive shaft was installed correctly, something we here know is not always done right.
Find #1 TDC by looking at pulley AND #1 valve position, make sure rotor is under wire for #1 plug, then order of rotation from there as shown. _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each. The '71 now has the 1835 engine, swapped from the '70. Second owner of each. 1988 Mazda B2200 truck, 1998 Frontier, 2014 Yukon, 2004 Frontier King Cab. Any new ideas on my no lights, horn, wipers etc, and no spark. but the motor turn over. 70 Beetle. thanks! |

Get a multimeter and start checking for where the voltage is and stops at. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |
