Guys,

Finishing up the last few things on my motor and I'll be taking it in for tuning at the shop next week before install. I'd like input on my jets from the experts in case I should call and order something new before tuning. Right now I have dual dellorto 40s with the sync linkage with 180 airs, 140 mains and 60 idle jets. The engine specs that should matter are below. Thanks!

1776 cc
C35 cam
40x35 heads with very minor port work
1.25 rockers w/hd springs
Light flywheel

What size venturis?

I am assuming 34 venturis. If so then 55 idles, and 135 mains, and 180 airs. Get orig jets from aircooled.net or if you are using your own make sure you measure and verify them first.

Uh. I'd call John to check before ordering. I have a set of idle jets on order from AC.NET for over a month now. Still on backorder.
To be clear, I'm not knocking AC.NET. Just stating a fact.

I have ordered Dellorto jets from Eurocarb in the UK and they arrive rather quickly.

Also, keep in mind that the stamping on Dell jets is not the same as Weber jets.
You have to measure to know what you are installing.
For instance, a Dell 60 idle jet measures .055".
I have several sets 60 idle jets with the Dell diamond stamp on them and they all measure the same.

Good Luck.

For comparison. I too live on the west coast about the same elevation as you. My 2332 is running 48 Dells and I'm using 60 idles, 160 mains, 200 airs.

He said he was on the East Coast not West Coast.
Would that matter?

Good advice above. You can buy Dell jets from Alfa off Ebay from Europe as well (search dellorto jets). I think there is info on his ads that indicate that the idle jets measure 4-5 smaller than what is stamped on them. They are flow rated. So if you measure some 55 idles with gauges they will measure around 50-51.

The mains and airs should measure what is stamped on them.

Great info, thanks. I'll try to get ahold of ac.net today and see what he has on hand for jets.
