First, put the axle oil seals / brakes back together and everthing so far looks great.
But we took the car out and went about .25 miles and the coil went out. This is the 2nd coil. What causes a coil to fail? I have 4 wires going to it.
+ wire from ignition switch
+ wire to choke and electromagnetic cutoff valve.
- wire
- wire to distributor

Are you leaving the key on and listening to the radio while engine isn’t running? _________________ He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. Luke 22:36

Sand rail, no radio
How long can a coil last if the key is on and vehicle not running? |

Point open >>>> Forever

In actual use, only "The Shadow" knows....
Did you test coil with ohm meter?
Probably biggest failure is new coils are probably junk....

Yes.
The first coil had 0 primary resistance and 13.97k secondary.
Second coil had open primary resistance and 8.25k secondary
I ordered a blue Bosch with internal resister this morning.
Thanks. |

What is the - wire going to? Hope it is going to a tach and not to the frame. |
