Ya know, out of this kind of build, this is the least offensive one I have seen. There was some thought and a lot of work put into it. Still not my cup of tea, but really not too bad.

Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.
Do what you want. Ignore the elitists. Drive your VW. Enjoy life.

This..is pretty good. It might need to be chopped a few inches otherwise I'd happily roll it!

Yeah - I like that and totally agree that a slight chop (maybe 2"?) would pull it together better.

How the hell do you turn that thing with those huge tires up front?? Obviously another one of those rides that was built for show and no go.
Pretty sure there's a few slammed car with as little turning radius as this.

Not so much turning radius as actually turning them. That's got to have either a modified gear box, or really big arms.

I am guessing a V8 backed power steering pump would have no problem with the task.

Saw two cool ones at the Acton, Maine VW show this past Sunday:

Cool rat rod (notice the beetle popouts for windshields and backward beetle body as roadster body):

You have to hit "Reply" in the ad to see the phone # so it's sort of hidden
