A family member has a Neuspeed Stainless Steel Exhaust System that is NOS. He wants to sell it, but we can't find any information to help price it.

The installation instructions indicate it's for 1998-up New Beetle 2.0L 8V.

Part #3-30.10.54

Anyone have any idea or better web search skills than we do?

Thanks,

First, you have to find someone that still wants to put a sport exhaust on a 2.0 New Beetle

Understood. Might be easier to scrap it.

Can you contact Neuspeed and ask what the original price was?
http://www.neuspeed.com/

Strangely I don't see it listed on their site when I pick that car, I guess it's no longer available?

Looking at their other stuff on the site, it was probably $750-$1000?

I would guess it should be less now.

Thanks. We also performed a number of searches, both on their site and the interwebs with no luck. I'll tell him to contact Neuspeed or just throw it on craigslist and see if anyone will bite for a couple hundred bucks.

Thanks again,

$200, not really worth that, but it's a good place to start.
Think about it, the last 2.Slow New Beetle was made in 2005 or 13 years ago.
Now is anybody going to put a $800 - $1000 exhaust on a 13 year old car?

Is it new or used?
If used, can it still be separated for ease of shipping?
If it can be shipped, this will make it easier to market it to a larger crowd (such as the classified section here).

The New Beetle platform was the same as the Golf/Jetta, the only difference in the exhaust would be the length of the tailpipe behind the muffler.
In addition to that, the only difference in the exhaust systems for the various engine options was the inlet diameter of the pipe connecting to the catalytic converter, aside from that, their exhaust systems were the same. This info might make it so that you can advertise to a larger crowd, as long as you tell them that they would have to modify it to fit other applications. (There are a lot more TDI owners that might like the system)
